  • Expand the Agriculture Education Program, facilities, and course offerings to accommodate student interest, including middle school.

    Update 6/2/25: Final outdoor landscape being completed and building being moved into.

    Update 5/6/25: Media and security, vape sensors, and access control are being installed. The gas line is being run to the building. Door hardware is being installed this week. Downspouts, finishes, and exterior lights should be the week after next. The last step of the process is to seal the floor. Anticipated completion date of 5/17/25.

    Update 4/10/25: Most of the inside is finished and ready for trim. Anticipated completion date of 4/22/25.

    Update 3/3/25: All outside metal is installed. The entrance is finished except for the garage door. Insulation is installed. Electrical and plumbing are roughed in and ready for finishes after painting. The drywall is being sanded and prepped for finish. Anticipated completion date of 3/15/25.

    Update 2/3/25: Crews continue to wrap the outside with metal. The inside sheet rock is on the walls and the ceiling drop-in is next. Windows and doors are installed. Next is working on finishing and putting in fixtures. Anticipated completion date of 2/15/25.

    Update 1/6/25: The metal has arrived and is being installed. Anticipated completion date of 2/15/25.

    Update 12/3/24: Framing is finished. Door frames are set. Waiting on steel. Anticipated completion date of 2/15/25.

    Update 11/4/24: The framing is finished. The rough-in for the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC is complete. Metal roofing should arrive next month. The cooler will not be installed at this time so we will install a door and utilize the space for storage.

    Update 10/11/24: The new Ag Ed classroom building is being framed.

    Update 8/29/2024: The pad is poured and block is being delivered to start building walls.

    Update 8/7/2024: Concrete is being poured and utilities have been run to the site.

    Update 7/10/24: Dirt work is complete. The site is prepped for concrete.

  • Install new upgraded cameras throughout the district.

    Update 8/7/2024: Installation of bus cameras has been completed.

    Update 7/10/24: Installation of bus cameras has begun.

    Update 5/31/24: We have installed upgraded cameras across our campus and have ordered upgraded cameras for all of our buses, including backup cameras.

  • The addition of a designated cafeteria allowing for maximum utilization and flexibility of facilities both during the school day and beyond.

    Update 6/2/25: Flooring has been installed. Downspouts have been attached. Wall decor is being scheduled. Baffles are scheduled to be installed. Project completion pending.

    Update 5/6/25: Painting is finished inside. The other painting is being finished, and decals are being put in place. Flooring and base are here. Once the HVAC is turned on, we will condition the floor and the flooring to the same temperature. The roofing details will be finished this week. Drain and downspout tiles are being installed. The exterior lighting and finished concrete will be installed next week. Anticipated completion date of 5/17/25.

    Update 4/10/25: Brickwork is finished and acid washed. Windows are scheduled to be installed. Painting is almost finished. Students signed the floor before final flooring installed. Anticipated completion date of 4/22/25.

    Update 3/3/25: Brickwork is being done and the last transition to block is being put up. Once the brick is finished the windows can be installed. The door to the kitchen is cut in and framed. The duct work is finished and ready to be painted. The drywall is being finished so it can be painted. Anticipated completion date of 3/15/25.

    Update 2/3/25: Ductwork and suppression have been run and are finishing up. Ready for windows and door frames and then heat and paint. The door to the kitchen will be cut in the next couple of weeks. Walls have been fired out with metal studs and are ready for sheetrock. Anticipated completion date of 2/15/25.

    Update 1/6/25: The cafeteria has a roof, red iron framing for access, HVAC units, and visqueen windows. Youth sports have been using the gym in addition to PE classes. Anticipated completion date of 2/15/25.

    Update 12/3/24:

    Cafeteria: Waiting on steel. Reviewing brick and mortar samples as well as window samples with finishes. Anticipated completion date of 2/15/25.

    Update 11/4/24:

    Gym: The punch list on the floor is complete and the warranty now started. Students can access and use the space for PE and youth sports.

    Cafeteria: Block and lintel work complete. Waiting on steel. Reviewing brick and mortar samples as well as window samples with finishes.

    Update 10/11/24:

    The outside block continues to be laid. The block will be filled with concrete to keep the integrity of the structure. The inside of the ECC is progressing. The scoreboards have been installed.

    Update 8/29/24:

    The alcoves in the current gym/cafeteria have been removed. The painters have finished the touch ups. Flooring is being removed and the new flooring will be installed in the next two to three weeks. We are hopeful to begin using this space again by the end of September. The concrete pad for the new cafeteria has been poured.

    Update 7/10/24: Foundation walls have been poured. The existing cafeteria has begun to be transformed into a gymnasium.

    Update 6/19/24: We broke ground and are ready to start laying the foundation.

  • Renovate and improve facilities to maximize space and enhance security while creating a welcoming environment.

    12/3/2024: Flooring on the landing is complete.

    11/4/24: The last of the Middle School locker trim has been installed and the stair treads placed. Next is to replace the flooring on the landing to match the more durable product of the stairs.

    10/11/24: Middle School lockers have been installed, and numbers and trim are being installed. Anticipate issuing lockers to students before the end of October.

    8/29/24: All hallways are complete as well as bathrooms except for some transitions and some cove base. We will finish those as we finish other buildings during days that students are not in school. Doors will be installed in the classrooms and throughout the commons area.

    8/7/24: Walls are painted, ceiling tile grid and new light fixtures have been installed, flooring is being installed, and restrooms have new floor, paint, and fixtures. Middle School lockers are scheduled to arrive first part of September. High School shelves and benches are being installed.

    7/10/24: Lockers and furniture have been ordered. The framework and sheetrock is complete.

    Update 6/19/24: Demolition of the high school and middle school hallways has been completed. Furniture for the high school and lockers for the middle school are being ordered.

    Update 5/31/24: We have begun demolition of the high school hallways.

  • Restructure lease purchase debt, allowing $275,000 to attract and retain qualified teachers and staff—NO tax increase.

    Update 7/10/24: The lease purchase has been paid off, freeing up the money to give all school personnel a 5% increase in pay for only the second time in fifteen years.

  • Create an all-weather multipurpose activity center for students and the community.

    Update 6/2/25: Turf installed and signage for the new turf is being installed. Sewer extensions are in progress. Bathrooms and back storage rooms are being finished.

    Anticipated completion date 7/1/25.

    Update 5/6/25: Metal finishing will be completed in the next few weeks. Fire suppression is being finished. The HVAC rough-in and install are almost complete. Wall sheeting is being installed. Rock was brought in for grading with the turf. Starting with a turf nailer and finishing with rock. Plywood panels will be installed. Anticipated completion date 7/15/25.

    Update 4/10/25: Southside rooms are erected. Roofing is going on. Sewer extension is being installed. Anticipated completion date of 6/30/25.

    Update 3/3/25: There is rapid progression. Bracing is not an issue. The outside restrooms, mechanical, and storage, and the main arena are almost finished. Anticipated completion date of 6/1/25.

    Update 2/3/25: Damaged metal has been torn down. Concrete is being busted up starting at the east end and moving toward the west. This will allow for pouring to be ready to start putting metal back up beginning on the east end of the building. Anticipated completion date of 5/1/25.

    Update 1/22/25: Due to unforeseen circumstances the structural integrity of the Tiger Activity Community Center has been impacted, requiring additional work to ensure it meets all safety and quality standards.

    In response, the district has partnered with the architect, general contractor, and engineers to address the situation swiftly and effectively. All are focused on delivering the high-quality facility that Hollister voters and taxpayers envisioned when they generously approved funding for this project.

    To ensure the safety and long-term reliability of the building, the impacted structure is being disassembled. New steel materials are already being shipped to the site, and additional workers will be brought in by the contractor to support an expedited rebuilding process. These efforts will allow the project to remain on track with early summer 2025, as the anticipated completion date.

    The district recognizes the importance of this facility to our students, staff, and community members and is dedicated to ensuring that it is completed to the highest possible standards.

    Update 1/6/25: Due to unfortunate circumstances over winter break, the integrity of the Tiger Activity Community Center has been impacted. The district, the architecture, the general contractor, the engineer, and the insurance company are working together to ensure the structure meets all safety standards and is fully prepared for occupancy upon completion and are dedicated to delivering the high-quality facility that the taxpayers of the Hollister R-V School District voted for and funded. Anticipated completion date of 5/1/25.

    Update 12/3/24: The stem walls are finished. Fiber and electrical wires have been removed from the power lines so the poles can come out. Steel posts have been installed for the garage doors. Concrete pads for walkways are ready to be poured. Anticipated completion date of 5/1/25.

    Update 11/4/24: The west stem wall was poured on the south end and the north end is to be poured by the end of week 11/4/24. The north wall will be next. Waiting for steel to be brought in by the middle of December. All stem walls should be poured by the middle of November. Working on color schemes.

    Update 10/11/24: Awaiting the arrival of the anchor bolts for the main struts of the structure. Metal for the building should ship on November 16.

    Update 8/29/24: Compaction is complete. Footers are being poured and steel is scheduled to arrive soon.
